Your credit bureau score (CIBIL, Experian, Equifax or CRIF) is a 3-digit number, typically between 300 and 900, that reflects your credit history and repayment behaviour. A higher score generally means better loan offers and faster approvals.
750 and above is usually considered excellent, 700-749 is good, 650-699 is fair, and below 650 may make approvals harder or come with higher interest rates.
To improve your score: pay EMIs and credit card bills on time, keep credit utilisation low, avoid applying for multiple loans in a short span, and check your report regularly for errors.
